Join us in this session as we explore the importance of meaningful relationships for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This session will offer strategies for fostering community participation and inclusion and how to connect people through community opportunities. Whether you’re a family member or an FMS staff member, this session is for you. This is an opportunity to gain valuable insights and tools to facilitate and encourage genuine connections within the community.

- Understanding the significance and potential of normative pathways for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Identifying individual interests and passions as powerful catalysts for forging new relationships and building a sense of belonging.
- Developing effective techniques to promote community participation and cultivate an environment that encourages the growth of meaningful relationships.
- Practical guidance for families and FMS staff on facilitating and nurturing connections within the community.
