Workshops for family members committed to inclusion are empowered to create meaningful community lives for their family member(s) with developmental disabilities.
This series of workshops helps individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members learn more about how to create change for more welcoming and inclusive communities.
Inclusion Alberta’s annual Family Leadership Series consists of five weekends over eight months and is designed for families, parents, siblings and other family members, and individuals with developmental disabilities who are committed to community inclusion, want to deepen their understanding of inclusion and be part of a movement creating change.
We welcome approximately 30 families from across the province each year. Inclusion Alberta covers all the costs related to attending the series in Edmonton, as well as providing childcare or assisting with needed supports.
Stay tuned for more information about the next Family Leadership Series.
Families must be nominated to attend the series. To find out more about nominating someone you know, or your own family, contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org | 1-800-252-7556
