Edmonton and area families and FMS staff are invited to join us for an in-person workshop on finding employment for your family member with an intellectual disability on Tuesday, March 19th from 6pm-8pm.
We will offer practical advice and tips you can use now to help your family member secure meaningful paid employment.
The session will cover:
- Tapping into a network for possibilities.
- Creating employment possibilities based on the interests of the individual.
- Approaching potential employers.
- Strategies for families and staff to ensure success in the workplace.
- Facilitating natural supports in the workplace.
- Using FMS or FSDC funding to ensure successful on-the-job support.
Families and FMS staff are encouraged to attend.
