Rotary Employment Partnership: Blackfalds IGA

April 1, 2025

Inclusion Alberta’s Rotary Employment Partnership is creating life-changing job opportunities while providing an untapped labour market to Alberta’s business community. The partnership has created over 850 jobs to date in areas such as food service to administration to labour, and everything in between.

In October 2024, Blackfalds IGA hired Bayley as a stocking assistant with support from Inclusion Alberta’s Rotary Employment Partnership. Bayley’s role includes facing the shelves, returning products to their location, and making sure the store looks organized and is welcoming for customers.

Bayley says he enjoys every minute of working! It has given him the opportunity to have responsibility and to build skills and confidence in talking more with his co-workers and customers.

“Bayley works hard to keep the aisles fully-faced, making it easier for our customers to find the products they are looking for and the store looking neat and tidy,” says Blackfalds IGA Owner Samantha Parsons-Robb. “Bayley is an absolute joy to have around. He is such a familiar face in the community and customers are always excited to see him in store. I am grateful for a relationship with Inclusion Alberta, and to be able to offer meaningful work to Bayley.”
