Families and Fund Administrators play a critical role in shaping and maintaining strong\, respectful working relationships with their staff.   \nJoin us for a session that provides practical guidance on staff hiring processes. We will explore how to conduct interviews\, complete reference and police checks and clarify the difference between employees and contractors (self-employed). They bring joy\, support\, and a sense of belonging\, helping us weather challenges and celebrate milestones together. Yet too many people with intellectual disabilities experience loneliness and isolation\, which deeply impacts health and well-being.  \nThis engaging session will explore practical strategies for creating opportunities that spark community engagement and foster genuine relationships. Families\, individuals and FMS or FSCD staff will gain tools to support people with intellectual disabilities in building authentic connections rooted in their unique interests and strengths.
