DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2026 Inclusion Alberta Family Conference\, April 17-18\, 2026 at the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton! \nThe 2026 Inclusion Alberta Family Conference is a time for individuals with intellectual disabilities\, their families\, allies and support staff as well as those working in the disability and education fields to come together and learn from keynote speakers and other experienced families. It’s a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge and commitment to assisting children and adults with intellectual disabilities to live fully inclusive and meaningful lives in their community. The Conference is the largest and longest standing of its kind in the world and offers fully-inclusive onsite child and teen care so parents and guardians can enjoy the Conference worry-free. \nThe Conference features two full-day workshops on Friday:  \n\nFamilies and support staff can learn practical ways to plan for an inclusive life with Janet Klees\nEducators and families can learn to use Positive Behavioural Interventions and Supports to meaningfully include children with complex needs in the class with Virginia Walker\n\nPlus\, a variety of morning and afternoon sessions to choose from on Saturday. \nSession topics include: \n\nInclusive education\nFirst Nations disability supports\nThe role of siblings\nCollective action to protect and advance inclusion\nInclusive employment\nSupported decision making\nSustaining resilience and hope\n\nLearn more and get tickets here.

This tournament raises funds for the Hannah Gunderson Memorial Fund\, administered by Inclusion Alberta. \nRegistration fee is $195/golfer. Due to these funds\, students have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills alongside their peers\, create and maintain valuable relationships\, and contribute to campus life. Your contribution guarantees more students are able to gain knowledge and professional development experiences related to their career ambitions\, setting them up for success and improving the projection of their future. Post-Secondary education is life changing for individuals supported by this fund\, with 70-80% of the students reaching positive employment outcomes. Alberta has the highest number of fully inclusive post-secondary opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities\, more than any other jurisdiction in the world\, helping individuals reach their full potential and contribute their passions and experiences.
