DESCRIPTION:Finding employment for your family member with an intellectual disability \nWhen: Tuesday\, March 19th\, 2024 | 6pm-8pm \nWhere: Inclusion Alberta\, 11724 Kingsway\, Edmonton\, AB \nThis session is free\, but please register your spot here. \nEdmonton and area families and FMS staff are invited to join us for an in-person workshop on finding employment for your family member with an intellectual disability on Tuesday\, March 19th from 6pm-8pm. \nWe will offer practical advice and tips you can use now to help your family member secure meaningful paid employment. \nThe session will cover: \n\nTapping into a network for possibilities.\nCreating employment possibilities based on the interests of the individual.\nApproaching potential employers.\nStrategies for families and staff to ensure success in the workplace.\nFacilitating natural supports in the workplace.\nUsing FMS or FSDC funding to ensure successful on-the-job support.\n\nFamilies and FMS staff are encouraged to attend. \nRegister your free spot.
