SUMMARY:Crafting a vision for an inclusive life (virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Crafting a vision for an inclusive life\nFMS Learning Series 2023/2024 \nPresented by the Inclusion Alberta Family Resource Centre – Grande Prairie & Area \nTuesday\, January 23\, 2024\, 6:30pm-8:30pm \nVirtual (zoom) \nRegister here\nJoin us at the Inclusion Alberta workshop\, Crafting a Vision for an Inclusive Life\, as we explore the important questions families have when planning for and with their loved ones with intellectual disabilities. Through our extensive experience\, we have discovered that creating a compelling vision for a meaningful life is an incredibly potent tool in establishing a truly inclusive and fulfilling life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. \nA clear vision acts as a guiding light\, helping you stay focused and avoiding a path of segregation. It doesn’t matter what age or stage of life someone is in; it is crucial to create or refine a vision for a good life. \nDeveloping and refining a life-enhancing vision takes intention\, time\, and reflection. Our event will provide valuable insights\, practical guidance\, and inspiring stories that will help you stay focused and navigate the path towards a fulfilling and inclusive life. We will explore how the flexibility and creativity allowed by FMS or FSCD can benefit families and their loved ones with intellectual disabilities. Let’s come together to envision a future filled with hope and possibilities. \nWorkshop Presenters: \nBillie Jack – Executive Director\, Advocacy and Family Initiatives \nCatherine Oakleaf – Director of Advocacy & Calgary Team Lead \nRegister here for a Zoom link or contact Laura at 780-882-9477 or FRC-GP@inclusionalberta.org
