
Disability Support Worker Immunization Info Session
On May 3rd, 2021 Alberta Community and Social Services, in partnership with Alberta Health will be providing an information session for disability support workers, including those hired directly by families or funds administrators utilizing FSCD or FMS funding. Families who employ support staff are welcome and encouraged to attend as well.
During the session, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and Trish Merrithew-Mercredi, Assistant Deputy Minister, Alberta Health Public Health and Compliance Division will provide an overview of the vaccines that are approved, Alberta’s approach, vaccination program goals and roll out. The aim of this session is to ensure disability support workers and families who employ staff to support their family member have the most up-to-date information and understanding of the overall priorities and processes for vaccination of Albertans.
