Giving Tuesday 2019

This Giving Tuesday, Support Inclusion Alberta

Inclusion Alberta is participating in the global movement of giving called “Giving Tuesday”, on December 3, 2019. Every year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday kick off the holiday shopping season, with billions of dollars spent around the world on sales in stores and online.

“We have two days that are good for the economy, and now we have a day to benefit our communities.”

Giving Tuesday is a day to support charities, celebrate their work in community and think about others. Giving Tuesday is a movement for everyone who wants to give something back this holiday season.

We would be honored if you chose to contribute to Inclusion Alberta this Giving Tuesday.

Your tax-deductible Giving Tuesday gift of even $25, $50 or $100 will enable Inclusion Alberta to:

  • Support families in crisis. On a given day, we are advocating for more than 120 individuals and families who are in desperate need of support and assistance. Even a small donation could provide an assistive device to a child with disabilities who needs the technology to communicate with her family, or find an adult a safe place to live.
  • Create inclusive classrooms. Help us ensure more children with developmental disabilities, their teachers and schools have access to quality inclusion. Research shows the academic results of all students can improve in an inclusive classroom. Your support will enable us to offer more schools and teachers the support they need to provide a quality inclusive education for all of their students.
  • Provide post-secondary access. Support more individuals with developmental disabilities to attend inclusive post-secondary education. Among the gifts this provides is an 80% likelihood of being employed. You can help these young adults have a more promising future by supporting their inclusion in colleges, universities and technical institutes around Alberta.
  • Create employment opportunities. Help us generate more employment opportunities for youth and adults with developmental disabilities by supporting our Rotary and Youth Employment Partnerships, which together have created nearly 600 jobs. This is a remarkable achievement that requires your support to be sustained.

Help us share the vision of an inclusive world that welcomes children and adults with developmental disabilities as valued community members. On Tuesday, December 3 please join the Giving Tuesday movement and change lives by donating online to Inclusion Alberta.
